On April 16, 2019, the 18th provincial, regional and municipal global promotion activity of the ministry of foreign affairs, with the theme of “China in the New Era: A Dynamic Tianjin Going Global”, was held in Beijing.
This is the first time for the Chinese foreign ministry to hold a promotional event for Chinese municipalities directly under the central government. The event was attended by diplomatic envoys from more than 150 countries, representatives of international organizations in China, business representatives, Chinese and foreign experts, scholars and media.
Tianjin was the forerunner of China’s modern industrial civilization. In recent years, Tianjin has resolutely implemented the new development concept, and the cause of reform and opening up has shown vigorous vitality. State councilor and foreign minister Wang Yi said that after President Xi Jinping put forward the “One Belt And One Road” initiative, Tianjin, as the intersection of land and sea for the “One Belt And One Road” initiative and an important node of the new Eurasian continental bridge economic corridor, has once again standing at the forefront of a new round of reform and opening up.
In the exhibition area, the exquisite Tianjin featured crafts, such as Yangliuqing Wood Pictures and Clay Figurine Zhang, have attracted many guests.The New Year picture of “Baby Holding Fish” has a happy and lovely image and contains the culture of “abundance every year” behind it. Pointing to a New Year picture , Umara of the Kbar News Agency of Kyrgyzstan said with a smile that she must go to Tianjin for a visit to learn about the traditional Chinese culture.
