Anti-Freeze Combination Eye Wash and Shower for Cold Climates
Cold weather pose a real threat to the effectiveness of emergency equipment placed outdoors, including showers and eye washes. When the water in an eyewash or shower freezes, that equipment cannot be relied upon to work when there is no time to waste. An anti-freeze combination eye wash and shower is the cold-weather answer to sustained emergency protection for the workplace exposed to the cold.
The fact that water remains in the pipework in a traditional emergency eyewash or safety shower can cause problems in freezing conditions. Anti-freeze, drainage and isolation valves eliminate risk of freezing, making the system ideal for use for cold weather applications.
The anti-freeze combination eye wash and shower is on station emergency eye wash and full body emergency shower in one unit. Suitable for use where workers are exposed to chemicals or hazardous liquids or solids, gases or other alien materials in which the presence of such things would be assumed.
Self-Draining Design
An emptying anti-freeze valve drains the water off the system after use for Models BD-560F. The BD-560D has an auto-emptying operation: when the foot pedal goes back to its rest position, the system stops the water supply, and auto-drain the water left. In more extreme outdoor conditions the BD-560W buried anti-freeze stainless steel combination eye wash line and shower is available with enclosed drainage design for use at -15°C to +45°C.
